Let's be real — placement season is super stressful. As you get closer to finishing college, everyone keeps asking, "So, what's next?" Seeing your friends snag their dream jobs just cranks up the pressure, and you start wondering if you're falling behind.
Here's the deal: you're not the only one feeling this way. Everyone's in the same boat. Take a deep breath and keep in mind that your worth isn't just about one job. You're so much more than your career. Focus on what you can control, look after yourself, and trust that things will work out.

Research the company and practice interview questions. Preparation builds confidence and reduces anxiety. One of the main sources of anxiety is the feeling of being underprepared. Start preparing for placements months in advance. Brush up on your technical skills, refine your resume, and stay updated on industry trends.
Adapt to interview styles
Interviews can vary, so be ready for different styles. Staying flexible helps you remain calm and composed. Fear of the unknown often fuels anxiety. By practicing mock interviews with friends, mentors, or even career counselors, you can simulate the real experience. This practice will help you manage unexpected questions and reduce stress on the actual interview day.
Practice Communication
Good communication is key. Improve both verbal and non-verbal skills to feel more confident. You’re not alone in this journey. Share your concerns with friends, peers, and even faculty members. Sometimes, just voicing your anxiety helps reduce its intensity. Moreover, discussing challenges can lead to shared solutions or study groups that make preparation more effective.
